El Camino de los Altos is a non-profit association conformed by 130 weavers from Los Altos de Chiapas in Mexico, and a collective of 8 French designers. Together, they share and merge their skills and in mutual respect from their respective knowledge, they work to create and spread a collection of contemporary textiles inspired in the Mayan ancient art.

La Flor de Xochistlahuaca is a cooperative of women from the south of Guerrero. The 20 weavers that conform it elaborate textiles with traditional designs that transmit the traditional art of “telar de cintura” between the new generations on the area. Chamuchic is a brand focused in handbags and craft accessories inspired in a contemporary life style. Chamuchic celebrates and rescues the beauty of the textiles original from Los Altos de Chiapas, and finds a harmonious balance between the past and the present. The hands of the weavers work over the “telar de cintura” and do the “bordados” and paint mayan motives. Chamuchic orients its creativity with insights from a market far from them, but to which depend the survival of their ancient knowledge and techniques. Read more...
